Folks of all ages seem to like our plant tour, but it may be 'cause they get to eat some of our famous ice cream when it's over. Since you can't eat Blue Bell over the Internet, you might want to tour our facility and taste the fruits of our labor for yourself.

Monastery Miniature Horses

Monastery Miniature Horses, in operation since 1981, is owned and operated by the Franciscan Poor Clare Nuns, a non-profit religious organization devoted to the contemplative life of prayer, penance, union with God.
Contemplative nuns support themselves in a variety of ways, and along with the traditional altar bread work (supplying churches with communion wafers), the Poor Clares of Brenham, Texas express their creativity through ceramics and other arts and crafts sold in their Art Barn, and their (Franciscan) love and care of creation in their work with the miniature horses.
Washington-on-the-Brazos State Historical Park

Visiting Washington-on-the-Brazos State Historic Site is an enjoyable experience on two levels. First, the expansive park grounds along the Brazos River provide a beautiful setting for picnicking, sightseeing and birdwatching. And secondly, the Star of the Republic Museum, Independence Hall and Barrington Living History Farm, offer the visitor a unique insight into the lives and times of the men who fought and won Texas' independence from Mexico

Take Highway 105 West 7 miles, turn left on FM 1155 to Washington-on-the-Brazos State Historical Park.
